Adventures on the beer trail!

Wood Barrel End SignBlacksmith brewery, Stevensville Montana:

Brewery was started in 2008 by Eric Hayes, and now produces 9 different styled brews through the year coupled with seasonal offerings. The tasting room is open 7 days a week, featuring the following brews Irish Red, Brass Knuckle Blonde, Maibock (Spring), Blacksmith White IPA, Brickhouse Blonde, Montana Amber, Pd. Pale Ale, Pulaski Porter and Cuttrout IPA. A great little brewery in a picture perfect town in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley, and the brewery takes pride in the quality of their products. The moment you walk through the front door you are at home, the surrounding are comfortable, the greeting is uniquely genuinelly warm and cordial, the staff is well imformed on the different styles of beer that they brew, also they have a willingness to converse outside of the box about the town and the surrounding area. I had a good hour conversation with Eric and liked his philosophy on his work and life. I decided on a growler of Pulaski Porter because of the smoothness and well-rounded flavors that are present from the nose to the finish. Recommend a stop-in if you are in the region. Prost! Topper
