Week end wine for summer!

Cortenova Primitivo! The grape varietals for this little generous red are sourced from vineyards owned by the winery in Veneto, Friuli and Puglia located in Italy. Winery’s philosophy is to make reliable, quality orientated wines that show a sense of place of origin. Ruby-red with accents of violets in the glass, nose has a fragrant bouquet of cherries and black raspberries. The body is well-integrated with the flavors of black berry, plum, spice and nuances of currants. There is a very good viscosity that has a velvety feel on the palate, there is a medium structure of tannin that doesn’t interfere with the finish. I would suggest this wine with BBQ and lighter fare of chicken or perch fillets. Cheers! Topper
